Tsurumi (America), Inc., awholly-owned subsidiary of Tsurumi Manufacturing, acquired the fullstake of TDI, Tsurumi Distributors, Inc. and positioned it as itsfirst branch office. TDI was a former distributor of Tsurumi(America) in the western region of the United States.
Pump demand in mining market is expanding inthe United States, especially in the western region. We aimat strengthening the Tsurumi’s presence in this area. The branchoffice of Tsurumi (America), Inc. is called Tsurumi AmericaWest.
Tsurumi Vacuum Engineering (Shanghai) Company, Limited. is a JV company between Tsurumi and other parties including a Japanese trading house. It manufactures condensers and compressors for power plant and petrochemical industry. We have increased the shares to acquire majority of the company’s stake and have gained control of the management.
In China, building of new power plants orpetrochemical plants is definitely needed, and demand for theequipment is at an accelerated pace. We can expect ever-greatersales in the market.

The local Tsurumi distributor inLuxembourg, Luxembourg Comat S.A. supplied a Tsurumi generaldewatering pump, KTZ411, to Feidt Carrieres S.A. in Luxembourg. Theapplication of the pump is to drain high volume of truck washwater. Feidt Carrieres S.A. required a high-performance and durablepump which could bear the washing of 100 trucks per day. A KTZ411pump can operate in nearly all severe environments, includingcontinuous running in the high concentration ofsediments.
The KTZ pump is usable at greater depths, suchas in deep well, to say nothing of use at general constructionsites.

Tsurumi construction dewatering pumps are being usedfor a part of the process to make concrete in Holcim Cement Plantin Midrand, South Africa. Holcim Cement Plant has installed eachone of KTZ33.7 and KTZ47.5. The plant works quarrying and sortsquarried stones into variety of size kind.
A KTZ47.5 has been installed at the bottom ofthe dam in the quarry near the plant.
The purpose of using this pump is to pump upthe water of the dam for cleaning and cooling down stones quarriedin this place.
As the other application at Holcim CementPlant, a KTZ33.7 has been installed under the conveyor-beltmachinery which transports quarried stones. This pump isbeing used to pump out the excess runoff water from stones washingprocess.
After the treatment, the stones go to “JUKSKEIQUARRY A PLANT” and are to be automatically sorted into variety ofsize kind: from the sand to rather largestones.

Pak Sha Tsuen is located in theWestern New Territory of Hong Kong. There are more than 30bungalows currently under construction in this area, and the totalattributable gross floor area is about 49,000 squarefeet. The estimated completion date of this job siteis 2008 to 2009.
Tsurumi sewage pumps, ejectors and floatingscum skimmers were installed to treat sewage water of all bungalowsby the developer.

SixKRS-1022 pumps were installed in a rainwater drainage pump stationin the Chubu region. In recent years, number of inundationdisasters have been increasing in the areas that lie along class Brivers. The municipal office had to build a pump station in alimited budget. Use of standard submersible pumps met thedemand. Every pump is operated in manual mode only. Atwo meter long steel pipe is used for the rising main, and the restof the discharge piping is covered by a hose. In dry season, thehose is stored in a coiled state.

The 2008 annual WEA (Winery Engineering Association) conference and exhibition was held in Barossa Valley, Australia for two days from 18th June. It is aimed at engineering
staffs, maintenance staffs, wine-growers, CEOsand winery suppliers whose goal is to improve wineryperformance.
And, Barossa Valley where the WEA was heldis one of Australia’s premier wine growing regions with over150 wineries including the world-famous wine-growers. SouthAustralia accounts for more than 42% of total wine production inAustralia.
The exhibition attracted over 70 exhibitors andmore than 500 attendees. A large percentage of attendees werewine-growers aimed at learning more information to improve theirwine production process.
The local Tsurumi distributor in Australia, EPG(Engineered Products Group Pty. Ltd.) displayed and promotedTsurumi pumps and aerators at the WEA exhibition. Various C,MG, KTZ, PU, TM, SFQ and OMA2 pumps were brought to the show aswell as TRN aerators to showcase the broad spectrum of the Tsurumispace. Tsurumi pumps and aerators are used in all aspects of thewine production process. They are used in the wine mixing,aeration, and also disposal of wastewater. During the two-dayexhibition, many attendees visited Tsurumi pump space ofEPG.
